Štramberk

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Few days before Christmas, we went to a small trip to Štramberk, a small town near Ostrava. Štramberk is famous for few things. At first it has trúba, a tower that was part of the castle. Nowadays it is a watch tower. They want trúba to become UNESCO world heritage site cause it’s really known in the area. The next thing is a small sweet pastry – ears from Štramberk (Štramberské uši). We went to several places in the surrounding area including watch tower on the near hill, mining site, and some more. At the end we ended in the local brewery where we drunk a great beer, and I took a small nap since I slept just three hours in the previous night… More infor at official site
