Nikola’s and Sylva’s birthday party is an annual event that is gaining stronger and stronger popularity, and more and more people are coming. This year, we also did a birthday cake, but not a kid as the last time, but a sweet castle.

The second part of the photos is a first of two series from the race. The race begun in the park. The quaternions were starting one after another with distance of š minutes in between. After the start we had to drink a beer and eat tvargle in seven pubs. Actually, this year one stop was for some reason canceled in the afternoon. I don’t know why. Well, the pubs we run were Bol, U nás doma, Ponorka, Kuděj, Moritz, and one more which name I have forgotten. Well, so you are waiting for the results. Sadly, our quaternion, „Ti nejrychlejší” weren’t the fastest one, but we finished third. Nikola’s team won. Revanche the next time.

Olomoucký Špacír is a very special event for us. It’s a birthday of a great writer Jaroslav Hašek which we celebrate by a small pub race in Olomouc. We dress up in costumes from thirties, set up into 4 person teams, and run around seven pubs where we must drink a beer and eat local cheese tvarůžek. Well, nobody really races, maybe just in the last pub. Basically everybody goes almost together, sings songs, and drinks.

Our team was me, Sylva, Roman and Kamča. This was clearly a winning combination. It had to be that way! So we named ourselves “ti nejrychlejší” (the fastest ones).

Well, I accidentally went to the xmas party in Barlament in Olomouc where I met lot of friends. And I had my camera with me. And this is the result.

My brother Pepa plays saxophone in Big Bang Žerotín, and they had a concert last week in Jazz club in Olomouc. The first band was Jana Koubková who is actually quite famous singer and after them the biggest star of the night – Big Band Žerotín.

As every year, in Olomouc holds the army music band festival – celebration of marshal Radecký (wikipedia article about marshal Radecký is here). This festival hosts 6 to 8 army bands from all around the Europe. As usually, there are comming guests from Austria, Belgium, Romania, Lithua, and two Czech orchestras – Representative orchestra of Czech Army from Prague and Olomouc army orchestra.

After reading we had to drink something, and chat a little. We went to our favourite pub “U Kuděje”. Like every year, there is a celebration of Maršál Radecký, one of the best army generals of Austrian monarchy. The celebration are concerts of garrison bands. Bands came from Olomouc, Prague, Greece, Poland, Austria, Germany and Romania. We watched two small shows during the day, and some promenade concerts.

So, this friday had Pavel and Jirka birthday. We went to celebrate it to park. We made some mojitos, drunk some bottles of some horrible alcohol (I cannot remember anything now…). Then went to main square to watch the concert of Čankišou. Then we continued to Vertigo and at the end all of us went happily drunk home… So I think few pictures are better than 1000 words…

That was a surprise! We have now eight fountains. Six old ones, and two new ones. And the newest one is brand new, and it’s beautiful. I went to shoot some pictures of it with my friend Gigi.

My time in Madrid is gone now. I spent really great time in this great city. I enjoyed it a lot, specially the second semester. I have to tell that the second semester is always better. And not only in Madrid – I had the same feeling in the US. You know, the first semester I had to work, I didn’t know Spanish that good, I didn’t know that many people, I didn’t know the city well… But the second one I didn’t work, and it was more like never ending party! And I liked that! I was really glad to meet so many nice people – all the erasmus students, and also some spanish people. I shouldn’t also forget my roommates. Thank you, everybody, for such a great time!
