After theatre in Palác Akropolis

A girl dancing in front of the bar

Palác Akropolis is one of the cultural centres of Prague. Many concerts, theatre plays, exhibitions, great music at two bars, and what’s the most important – a great atmosphere full of young people willing to enjoy. This monday Matouš, friend from Olomouc invited me to a theatre play of theatre pantomissimo – Death of Markis de sade: on the dark road. This theatre is an amateur’s project and it is a silent theatre.

There were just two actors. A guy and a girl. They were alone on the stage, not telling anything, just some music played in the background, and sometimes there came some sound. The air was full of anticipation what will happen the next. The play was about visual beauty of scene, lightning and of human body. You could study actors’ muscles in details, and had a nice impression of movement and positioning of body in the weirdest locations. I was staring on the stage all the time, and anxiously waiting for the next moment. What will happen the next? It didn’t happen much, but no worries, it was not of any importance. The visual and sensual feeling was the best and what made the whole play.

After the game we went to the bar with Matouš, some girls from Olomouc, and the firm where Matouš works. So there are some pictures from there.

Matouš tried to eat Simona’s hair

But then she apparently kicked his head…

Meetfactory – one of the best gallery spaces in Prague

I really love the place where do I live. The part is an old factory district in the middle of Prague on the side of the river. There is not much left from the factories. Actually the only one is still here. A huge Staropramen brewery. But the soul of industrial district is still present. You can see it mostly in the southern part where is the train station, beautiful old bridge, big train track, and a lot of old storage buildings. I think you should be looking for nice things, and you can find beauty everywhere. Even in such an old industrial place full of dirt there is some history, and some genius loci. Look for it as well, don’t go far, it is in front of us, but we don’t see it sometimes. Just open your eyes…

Rail track in the morning

One day, there was a beutiful fog in the morning, so I headed down, and took some pictures. (This is a response to some stupid facebook comments like I’m crazy and who likes fog and bad weather… [-;)

Nikola

I went to visit Matouš’ school – VŠUP (Vysoká Škola Umělecko-průmyslová – Academy of arts, architecture and design). There were student’s works from the last semestra. I didn’t take many pictures, just in one room…
