Martin is not in Madrid

So the semester started, and in the last month didn’t happen very much. I moved again to Prague to finish school (finally). My brother moved finally out of my parents to Brno to study master at VUT. People are moving, life continues, and this is good.

As I said, I hope that this year in school is the last one. I’m really bored at ČVUT. Actually maybe not this year, because this is the !!!first year!!! when I have only interesting classes. I also started working (read as: now preparing) my diploma project. I will do it at Martin Pavlík from IBM, and I will do consolidation of multiple databases to single centralized source. The theme is not definite, but sounds that it’s gonna be fun. This year I’m helping two erasmus students at the university – Benoit from Paris and Diogo from Lisboa.

Of course some events happened, and as I didn’t write anything long time, this post will be a bit longer than usually.

At first I should note that I live at a new location. My address is now Pod Tratí 5, Praha 5 Smíchov. Well, me and my friend Fanouš, we rented a great flat in Smíchov. It is in an old building in the in the hearth of old industrial part of Prague – Smíchov. Well, I shouldn’t say it is industrial part, because except Staropramen brewery, there is no factory anywhere near. But the atmosphere of an close industry is absolutely there. I was also surprised that it is so close to nature. I will talk about this some other time.

Back to the flat. It’s just great. As the flat is big enough, we found also one roommate. It is German girl Nicole. She is here for Erasmus, so you can imagine that she parties a lot. I would say even more than me in Madrid! Sounds impossible, isn’t that right?

Eddie and Ben

We live in the top most floor of an old building. This has one disadvantage. We have to go 5 floors by feet, and as it is a quite high building, we don’t have any lift. I don’t mind, but you might imagine that Fanouš is having some package almost every day. It’s good for health [-; The flat has two floors. So I and Nicole live in the 5th floor, and Fanouš in the 6th. The best thing in the flat is terrace. However, with approaching winter, we cannot enjoy it fully. That sucks, because grilling is great.

We apparently made house warming party. It was about month ago, but as I didn’t have my camera that time in Prague, it took me some time to gather some pictures. And also I forgot to mention that we had great visit by Dr. Thomas who also visited our house warming party besides Wilík, Eddie, Ben, and couple of other friends. Thomas as usually bought a bottle of absinth, so we had lot of fun with him… [-;
